i may be rambling to myself but im guessing well...really really hoping someone out there is reading /listening but anyway im soooooo bores with some forums these days they really seemed to of changed and really not helping me get motivated..i loved doing skinnys but cant seem to find any challenges with them in..the reason for returning to blog land really,i know i ran a challenge blog fdor a while and really enjoyed it but due to an origianl one returning i got some suggestions that i shouldnt be running it (my one) so gave up..so if anyone can point me in skinny direction id appreciate it.
rl has been hectic and very..i dont know the word but totally unprepared for the events/stresses and after stresses...but hopefully im back on track...and returning to find up some dear listeners once again .

the snowman is my entry to cute card thursday challenge (go see) the 'challenge' is snow/snowflakes,ive also popped on another card i made..these little girls are so sweet,i made them for a button challenge,but whilst off-line,so missed the deadline..so am using them for cards/tags etc..ive relived my youth(o.h will say ive not left it yet)as so enjoyed stamping on diff papers then cutting out the clothing and sticking to a plainer underneath one( im guessing there is a technical name for it!!)

well on holiday i was supposed to be looking at a waterfall...one of many,i must admit the week prior they'd been alot of rain and the area we stumbled upon had a huge torrent of water, its a series of waterfalls...i wonder what the fascination is to climb so far up hills to watch water coming down,not that I'm complaining my losing us in my map reading brought us to this magical place.....anyway looking at all this water and oh almost looked as if he was playing 'twister'on the edge of the river getting at so many angles to get some great shots i stopped him in his precarious tracks saying 'i can see a face'.....can you?

I'm missing my crafting so much at the moment,with 'life' in general .

I'm especially finding it hard to keep up with all my cyber friends so if theres something I've missed i do apologise please don't think its because i don't care.,it really is because Ive not kept up with the news and events in 'chat'.Ive hardly been on any forums for several days now ,and the slow to get in sites Ive just had to completely give up on at the moment though,
and really find leaving it so long it ll be harder to catch up.
i hope to get back to normal (whatever that is...was!!)soon...but its a probable definite I'm going to be as busy still for the next four weeks at least (due to work)...i am able to get round to answer any emails but as Ive said cant guarantee keeping up with news via the forums...sorreeeee

the theme is birds...i adoe the paper ive used its a crafty individuals one...i really didnt want to add anything else...as love them just the way they are.

over at the small world of inchie and twinchies..... the theme is also birds... this is my very first twinchie..im not really sure about these..the stamp is a crafty individuals,it felt less challenging than an inchy but then i guess it beacause my stamp fitted perfectly..also was already at hand..will follow how these go and if any swaps come up..but least it got my mojo flowing yaayyy

Leonie..who is very busy over on qvc this week,(will be watching to 'see' you and wave.)

her challenge this week id 3d with a twist,have you seen the fabby kits that she used,anyway here's my efforts..two actually..one is a decoupage sheet which you don't have the pieces cut down in order..but the other sort(is there a name for these)..anyway I've used three and instead of cutting down I've used all three to put at different angles.it reminds me slightly of a peacock feathers effect...well if i had alot more..then Ive just added an extra globe...

the second is a decoupage teddy/seaside theme but my twist on this is adding a real shell(freshly picked from devil dawgs walk...where he had a great Dane after him....

....now that's another story as the dogs head was bigger than the whole of devil dawg!!..and the great Dane had just demolished a families picnic and a fisherman's bait..thought taz was next!!!

yes my long awaited parcel from trimcraft has arrived and well worth the wait..love it(for some reason i cant get on the site this afternoon to say my thanks) anyway some gorgeous things in it and all will be used...ill upload individual piccies at alater date..son1 has just rang to say hes on his way round....anyway heres my goody bag,it contains lovley quality paper/card 12 x 12 then a pack of 6 x6...two packs of peel offs,some ribbon,white envies and blank cards..sticky pads..some stensils..cant wait to try them out,then a fabby punch thats a paw...how apt..

heres an atc that has helped inspire me to get some mojo back,leonies challenge was to use a ticket/reciept on a atc,ive actually used a train ticket as my backing it one of a pair ive carried in my purse since last year...as it was a very rare day out for me with son3 to norwich...he rarely leaves the house let alone the town,we had a lovley time,craft shopping for me and in all the dvd/games stores for him,we came back heavily laden making the most of it...and i cherish the memory of the enjoyment of that day still..i must admit ive not compleley stuck the cut outs on as have to photocopy..as i didnt want to destroy the evidence of our day out completely...sorry leonie

well hello,ive finally made a couple of atc's....woweeee i hear you shout...but for me it was so rare not to do any crafting at all,even tea-bag fold a bus ticket on my journey to town...not a sausage ive done...well apart from mum and dads birthday and fathers day cards...so here i am,firstly some news...im so chuffed....ive recently won a goody bag off trimcraft...still waiting and muchly anticipating what it contains...im quite excited...also today in the post a letter off 'future publishing' to say a letter has been publishe in one of there mags..so im assuming a photo of a 'make' ive done too as to be honest it was a while back i wrote to a couple of mags so cant quite remeber what i emailed them..so heres a photo of my pize off them...im pretty chuffed a sif i do ever use them and dont just frame them lol...the orangey ones are one of my fav colours of the moment..and the blue will be so apt on a lo or project on the men in my life

i seem to be slacking..or rather very busy...i have not done any challenges lately,but tonight have stared some atc's for swaps...if i owe you they will be in the post in the next two days...I'm trying to gt these out of the way,,in the nicest sense as have a stack of birthday cards to make..as its my mums then a week later dads birthday son1 will make his form him..as long as i organise a selection of stash...I'm hoping son3 will do the same..then still have to see what son2 is doing...as some years its a case of eight cards to make!! I'm OK with mum with designs but run out of images/stamps for dad but have a couple Ive not even tried out so hope they are male enough to use............if not its panic!!

oh dear..why does everything seem to go against me..have the house to myself a very rare event..i would jump up and down on all the beds but as ive just made ours i dont think ill bother..but the thought is there!!!oooh should i be a devil ahha

anyway went to put a challenge id made up..funny how some you do all the pieces are straight at hand..and others that final piece you need is under a pile..somewhere and some pile????!!?? well thats what it was for me. always!!..then went to take a piccy and the battery needed charging but i hasten to add im hoping ive learnt how to scan and upload form the pc direct..without camera facilities..so here goes
heres my tag for toppers tags and atc's..im hoping ive got it in the right order if i go and check ill of probally lost the page..but the link will take you there..unfortunatley its there last challenge its 'use a sticker or peel-off' im so glad some challenges still aknowledge the use of these embelishments certain forums laugh them out of the atc sections whin i find very unfair as if there was no 'demand' for them then why do we get such beautiful choices in the shops...end of me ranting...

hope you don't think I've found some deserted island and left my ramblings behind..finding an island would be so nice and even better if i could get Internet connections...and a case or two of crafty stash...but I've just not been around as really not had the 'me' time..anyway it was great to get devil dawg to the beach. this afternoon....he couldn't sit cross legged any longer..and a craft day on TV really didn't seem to appeal to him anyway once i tore myself away from the TV.. it was nice..in fact gorgeous as we had the beach to ourselves..i love it like that.. but due to the good weather its a rare event the past few days of devil dawg walks..anyway how 'bootiful' is this...also found several 'treasures' too..so even better

made an atc for leonie pujols challenge blog, the theme/challenge is' glitter',as i have such a reaction to it...spots,lumps and itchy bumps ive decided to use my challenging challenge item,that was a tag,then cards .....and. now
an atc so wonder how many the count is at now.....

the glitter is on the stripes its a handmade paper,then on the teddy's bandages,both were 'lakeland' products.

edited-this is use number 7 for this particular tag- cards-atc,now hows that for re-cycling...whats next with it ?....topper,gothic arch atc,moos,inchies...watch this space lol!!

going dotty is the theme over at tilda and friends atc challenge...im cutting it fine but managed to get one done,

its watercolour crayons..i do enjoy to colour in takes me back to being a kiddy,but i find it very relaxing esp if ive the images stamped up ahead..its nice to make them look so different with different colour schemes yet its the same tilda stamped image

so sorry if i still owe pm's and emails... though seemed to kept on top of it on my skinny challenges...please come and look the theme this week its jokers/jesters....and dont forget from 1st may the more challenging monthly challenges will begin...im really hoping to get a few small goodies from sponsors for some blog candy,crafty individuals have already said theyd like to join in,also a couple of others..but it has to be up and running for before theyll commit....quite exciting really..

well with my personal life..do i have a life!! of my own....erm....thats a challenge in itself..but o.h is getting better,sat in a chair yesterday all day,i think its something to do with me 'appearing' to hoover round him...well i try to go round not my fault if i bump into him lol....

right must go have twenty atc's to complete for a swap. and typically i cant find the stamp i need to finish them off also as im hosting a swap soon i must get thinking of a theme.....any suggestions welcomed.

also im hoping to get some scrapbooking done i saw a great idea in my leonie pujol book,thankyou diane x ,its where you photocopy the back of a photo and use it as part of the fron design,this was for an atc but is great for some old family photos i have as alot of my nanny and aunts and uncles during the war,the photos were postcard types where they wrote on the back..so now with photocopying the backs i can use that as part of the design and the 'personal' messages to my mum(she had been evacuated) from them can be seen too...brilliant...just need the 'me'time now to do it....

over at the gothic arches blog,the challenge is 'my doll and me' so heres mine,i made it a few days ago but have only just got round to get it photographed and uploaded,
the picture is actually of me,one xmas recieving her i must of been about three...the doll was named sally-anne,
the background is a photocopy of a sheet i have only ive resized it to make them smaller,they are of dolls houses and toy puppet theatres,rocking horses (all which i loved),ive chalked it reds as it as it was black and white and the photo of me was 'lost' being also black and white.the backing paper is a from the 'spring' pad from crafty individuals..quite pleased with how this turned out,

it seems as if more and more of us are combining challenges..i wonder what the most amount is thats someone had done,im guessing it depends on the themes really that are running around the same time

anyway heres mine 'ted'..
the stripes..are for the theme thursday challenge blog

the tag is for the 'lots to do' challenge blog and also

tag youre it blog,their challenge is 'no stamping allowed'

and the glitter is for the 'papertake weekly' challenge blog
there is a glitter on a few of the stripes,then on teds bandage,
(these were already on these when bought as i have an allergy to using glitter in craft glues etc itself.).

...this is the title of the theme over at the gothic arch challenge blog,its an ambition of mine to go,son1 and dil1 went last year,and ive just been so inspired by the many photos they took,also im really 'into' mona lisa designs so i made a mona poker face atc for son1 prior to his travels..he took it to photograph along side the 'real' thing for me,i was thrilled,the photo is blurry but you can see a hand..thats son1 holding the atc..
im not sure of the make of the rubber stamp background a dear friend,diane, stamped me up some copies..and how apt they arrived just in time for this challenge...

made a tag book for another challenge which had to have at lest two tags have stamped images..

well this is only the start of it..hope your reading this jane..ive decided to stamp every stamp i have an add itas a tag in the tag book..how many stamps do we have and forget about...how may would 'work' together...how many do we continually use as they re our favourite..making the rest redundant and sad...and then replaced as we forget weve got them and buy another..then they are even more redundant...violins have stopped now!!! lol anyway ive been meaning to do this for some time as especially unmounted not so used stamps can be overlooked....ive set myself a challenge not to 'buy' for challenges..but to use what i have..esp those redundant stamps..!!!

over at mixed media monday its a paris theme..now how could i resist this(its my dream to go there)...so ive used my fav. stamp of mona lisa on acetate(im 'into' this at the mo)..then have a paris..eiffle tower picture as a background..quite pleased at how her nose and the tower lined/fitted together...now another prob..wondere if anyone would be kind enough to explain how i do a direct link to this actual post..i can do a blog link but dont know how to do it for this 'post'..many thanks x

hello every buddy
i made the most of football being on t.v last night..and got to play..a little.
im not totally happy with these results..unlike sea-gals long suffering oh with the footy score!!!but want to 'record' it for a future attempt..my hands were not listening to my head!!
this is a seaside challengefor the gothic arches blog i made the background with a photo i took of our beach..then i stamped a image onto acetate..but also wanted it to have a ghostly apperance/effect

one is a paperartsy stamped image on a writing background atc pad,
the other is one image stamped onto acetate to get it reversed also a tissue box as the carstock background its a silver and grey wave effect,gives the impression of maybe floating in dreams

so i put good use to my brand new stamp from crafty individuals,you are likley to see it a few times in various challenges on my blog in the next few days,as ive done a skinny and an atc from it this morning,this is a skinny,the writing down the side says 'go confidently in the direction of your dreams'..i find this quite inspirational as well as just loving the main image the smaller writing is city names one being paris,after ds1 visited there recently im determined thet i will go to 'one day' so ive tucked behind the tag effect a photo he took,itll be inspiration for me.as its my dream to see it for myself 'one day'

been quite busy playing i did an atc challenge for the tilda and friends blog,its using checks,gingham etc,anyway this was really nice to do as ive never stamped onto a pretty paper to use as 'part' of the image before so this was really outside my box but something that ill defnatley do again,also it really took me back to colouring-in and dressing up paper dollys (its all water colour pencils other than the dungarees which are a freebie checked paper i got with a mag..some time ago)

waving ..yes im still in the land of the living every buddy just been soooooo busy but just now only have a few mins to get on,but will hopefully catch up with everyone tomorrow...but id almost ran out of time to 'show and tell' my think monday think atc challenge the theme is spring,id got the little girl already cut out she was a bottom section over from a decoupage ,and the backing paper is from a 'spring' colection its a scrap that ive kept..just in case..its quite convienient too that the butterfly is part of that sheet...not added on.....just in view of the kitten!!!!not for much longer!!

ive finally got round to uploading my tilda challenge set by tilda and co blog
the challenge set is to mix and match two magnolia stamps...so as ive two i used the baking tray in place of the basket, from baking tilda and the rest of the image of 'rice'(will have to edit the rest of her title)
i stamped the main image and pencil coloured her in,and cut out then restamped onto yellow cardstock but covering all except the background hearts/rice. thankyou for looking

i adore making tags...so love the idea of tags being part of the challenge over at the new(today)toppers,tags and atc's challenge blog.. anyway here is my effort,its a stamp im using for birthday cards this year,im trying to stick to the same one so i dont get confused!!!(dont say a word those who know me!!!) then if atc swaps etc come up i knwo theyve not already recieved the design off me..(well thats my plan!!?)
i do love this stamp and have made the image by stamping with a clear pad then using chalks on a cotton wall ball colouring it in. thanks for looking

this weeks challenge at gothic arches atc's is oriental/asian so heres my effort,actually im quite impressed as son3 likes it!!! fraid you cant see but the backing is actually a vellum by crafty bits,i then used a gold marker pen for the edges. i might try and do something similar and fix to glass/plastic..ok acetate..to hang by a window. thanks for looking.

well with big thanks to workmen calling round i had to sit with the dogs in another room,so what a better time to have a little me time to craft yayyyyy anyway heres my 'effort' for thank god its friday challenge
i used some bootiful paper its frompaper adventours' and called paper heart ..i think,on some of the points is a green dot on the design,ive added a few sparkly green stones on some of these points,im not really a sparkle person but these challenges have certainly got the creative juices flowing...whether a success to a more professional eye i dont claim to be any good transferring my ideas to actual end product but knowone thing for sure i am really enjoying myself !!
i had done one yesterday but thought id do a tag book today,hope it still qualifys,its to put atc's for swaps in or even my newly discovered 'skinnys'...(.wonder what peeps do with them once they are made for a challenge 'show and tell')
